Effect of Canceled Segment on SSR Message
- The system automatically removes segment-associated SSR items from the active display portion of the PNR when you or the airline cancels an associated air segment. The SSR entries appear in the history of the PNR after you end and redisplay the PNR.
- The following items do not remove segment-associated SSR items: XKCancel an OA Segment without generating a teletype messageWCChange a class of serviceWPNCBPrice and rebook the lowest fare in an appropriate class of service
- If you made the SSR entry using YY instead of an airline code, the system does not remove it when any or all segments are canceled
Teletype Messages Returned by Carriers in AFACTS Field of the PNR
- Carriers return teletype messages to the AFACTS field of the PNR.
- These messages contain teletype codes. To decode teletype messages and find definitions and descriptions of these codes, use the Trade Practice Manual Standard Interline Passenger Procedures (SIPP), published by the Air Transport Association of America for travel agencies.
